The Second Coming began life in London during 2005 as one of a number of songs written during a particularly productive period. Although the original recording captured the heart of the composition, it soon became clear that the song deserved a much larger musical canvas.

In 2006 the song was taken to Emerald Studios in Nashville, where producer Harry Hinde oversaw a completely new recording. A full gospel choir, orchestral arrangements and some of Nashville’s finest session musicians transformed the piece into the definitive version heard today.

Looking back, the Nashville recording marked a turning point. What began as a personal composition became the musical thread that now runs throughout the Sane Inside Insanity trilogy.
